I bet you thought I forgot! Nope, just needed to go out first so I had something to write about. I returned to Charlottesville on Sunday after a grueling 8 hour drive (which should have been less than 6) and went immediately to bed. I then spent every night until then working until about 2:00 am. It was sort of nice in hindsight, because I'm in very good shape for the week ahead.
I realized today though that I had nothing to write about, and so I decided to briefly go out. I went to DKE for a boy's birthday party which was turning into just a general Thursday night event. I planned on getting some stories and then heading home. Unfortunately, the one hole in my plan was that I was absolutely exhausted from my late nights, and I couldn't bear to go anywhere in the house other than the kitchen. This was because my closest friends were there but also because it was quiet and not crowded and I could have decent conversations without worrying about a beer being spilled down my shirt.
Finally I just couldn't be there any longer, so I ducked out while pretending to answer a phone call.
So, sadly, I don't have much to report, except that Christmas is already here in Charlottesville. Every house have lights on the outside, and a tree on the inside, and it's great. This is probably due to a demographically Christian area, but who cares what the reason is, at least it's festive.
