Coco Loco

Since I didn't have much work on Sunday we decided to go to Boylan and watch the Redskins game on the big screen. Naturally, my attention wasn't totally on the game, and so I started chatting with the bartenders. I brought up that I had my bartenders license and they were pretty impressed. So they asked if I could design a drink, given the materials. Who would pass up such an invitation? So I accepted, directing the bartender what liquor to add and how much. The catch? The drink had to be named after me. Coco Loco was the name we decided sounded most like a drink, and thus either cocoa or coconut had to be the main taste. Well we obviously chose the latter, and after a big of back and forth we had the final recipe:

The Coco Loco

malibu rum
stoli vanilla
peach schnapps
champagne
pineapple juice

Sammy tested one out and said it was delicious! Half an hour later she informed me it's also outrageously strong. Naturally. This was a moment, I have to say, where I did take a sip of the drink, because everyone was asking why I wouldn't try my own creation. But I sipped from Sammy's drink so  one sip and I was done.

Tuesday night was our biannual "sisterhood event" called Kats at Coupes, where our sorority rents the bar out, and each pledge class arrives an hour later than the one before, so the 4th years arrive at 7, the 3rd years at 8, and the 2nd years at 9. The drunker the older girls get the more they like to force younger girls to drink, so everyone gets fairly drunk. If you go onto Facebook you can see their tactic of choice: put a pitcher of beer infront of us, hand us each a straw and tell us to finish it. I had a straw--oh no! what to do? Well, I took a tip from Libby: my mouth stayed on the straw and I looked like I was in pain, trying so hard to chug. However, I never even sucked a drop of beer into my mouth, and thanks to the other three girls my plan went unnoticed.

Wednesday was spent with 8 girls and 8 guys cozied up in our guy friends' apartment watching the presidential debate. I only add this tidbit because I've been writing about so much "play hard" I didn't want anyone to forget the "work hard."

Tomorrow I embark on Fall Break, with more stories I hope.
