2013

It appears I have the privilege of blogging throughout this semester as well--you're welcome, fans.

Back in Charlottesville and emotionally and mentally drained from rush, but our new class of 44 girls makes it better, since they're all really entertaining. I like getting new members because they make spring semester so much more fun, due mostly to their excitement from joining a sorority which leads to an up-for-anything attitude that ends up infecting everyone.

So far, though, this "winter" situation is kind of killing my mo. I thought it wasn't supposed to get as cold here? What about global warming? The only good part is that I got to go skiing a few days ago, but let me tell you, this weather is not conducive to going out at night. The house is so warm, and you're in your sweatpants with a hot drink, and the thought of braving the cold and piling on layers only to take them off and risk losing them is less than appealing. Call me a grandma, but I'm really enjoying staying in lately. That will all change when the weather gets warmer, but that's what I'm feeling on January 27.

Not much to report on the social front, consequently. My friends and I have all been staying in a lot, and it sucks because I feel like I haven't gotten a chance to see any of my guy friends. Combine that with the fact that it's interviewing season for the next few weeks, and you can rest assured that most of the student body is hibernating. Boys rush is going on though, and their bid day will be on Saturday. I'll definitely be attending, ready to paint the town red.

Because we've only had two weeks of classes, my time spent in the house means that I am currently writing this with no homework to do. You read right. Nothing. In fact, I am ahead for two of my classes. Tomorrow, I'm going to begin planning my first date function as Theta's Event Director, and so hopefully my planning and coordinating with other fraternity and sorority social chairs will entice me to venture out to the corner. Probably not. Stay tuned.
